Simple Know-How
If you're fretting over finding the perfect invitations and
worried about using just the right words...you're not alone!
Invitations are a guest's first clue to what kind of Bridal
Shower this is going to be, and first impressions can be very
important!
Q: When Do I Send The Invitation?
A: This can be tricky because if you send invitations out too
late, your guests might already have other plans, while if
you send them out too far in advance, you run the risk of
guests forgetting about the Shower altogether.
Keeping all that in mind, it's good timing to send the
invitations 2 - 3 weeks in advance. You'll give guests time
to clear their schedules and find that 'perfect' gift...and
it's not so far in advance that they will forget about the
Shower.
Special Instructions
Don’t forget to include special instructions in the invitations.
Themes like
Recipe Shower
(and even some games) require guests to bring items
to the shower...and you’ll want to let them know inside their
invitation.

Q: When Do I Need To Send More Than One Invitation?
A: The general rule is each adult should be sent their own
invitation, however, if you're including the men and hosting
a couples shower, you would send one invitation to the
couple.
If there are two female adults living at the same place
(roommates) then in this case you would send two separate
invitations.
Q: If Bride Is Having Another Shower, Can I Invite The Same Guests?
A: Try to stay away from inviting the same guests. If you must
overlap the guest lists to avoid offending anyone, be sure
to let the overlapping guests know that you don't expect them
to bring ANOTHER gift, that you would simply enjoy their company.
Q: How Do I Choose A Style?
A:
If you're using a theme with the Bridal Shower, then choose an
invitation that displays the theme and you'll be all set.
If you're still looking for ideas, browse around the invitation
websites. You can purchase online, use the ideas and get a few
of the guests together to make your own, or get some ideas before
heading out to the store.
Q: RSVP or no RSVP?
A:
It seems guests have forgotten what RSVP means, and even if
you put "please RSVP" or "please respond", you may not hear
from all of your guests before the shower.
If you have reservations at a restaurant or need to know
exactly how many people you're expecting, go ahead and put
RSVP on the invitations. But be prepared to call the non-
responding guests several days before the shower to find out
if they will be attending.
